摘要：The present invention provides a process for producing oxazopyrroloquinolineswhich comprises culturing microorganisms to produce pyrroloquinolinequinone andadding &agr;-amino acids or monomethylamine to the resulting culture broth whichcontains the pyrroloquinolinequinone and from which cells of microorganisms are notseparated, thereby to convert the pyrroloquinolinequinone to the correspondingoxazopyrroloquinolines.
The thus obtained oxazopyrroloquinolines include novel compounds.
The present invention further provides aldose reductase inhibitors, diabetic combineddisease curing agents, immunopotentiating agents and liver disease inhibiting agentswhich contain as active ingredient these oxazopyrroloquinolines having excellentphysiological activity.
