摘要：Paper-cutting machines for cutting books, catalogues, brochures, etc possess aspine-pressing device which is supported with the pressure face of a thrust plate againstthe spine of the material to be cut. In the invention, the pressure face (28) of the spine-
pressing device has a narrow pointed projection (30) extending along the outer edge,with the result that, in the region of this projection, an increased pressure is exerted whenthe thrust plate is supported against the spine of the material (12) to be cut.
