摘要：A method and system for notifying the availability of femtocells to an electronicdevice are provided. The method includes determining a fingerprint for each of thefemtocells by a base station of a macrocell. The method also includes maintainingfingerprints of the femtocells by the base station. The method further includes notifyingthe availability of the femtocells to the electronic device based on correspondingfingerprints. The system includes a macrocell. The system also includes the femtocells invicinity of the macrocell. The system further includes the electronic device that receivesnotification of the availability of the femtocells. Moreover, the system includes a basestation in the macrocell to notify the availability of the femtocells to the electronicdevice.
