Service
If a corrupted G55.bff causes that the Handheld cannot recognise the lasersystem, the Customer Service staff member has to proceed as follows to downloadthe G55.bff file from his laptop to the G55:
1.Disconnect the G55 Ethernet cable from the ACC3 of the laser.
Note: Make sure that the power supply cable of the G55 is not disconnected from the laser sys-tem.2.Connect the G55 Ethernet cable via an Ethernet RJ45 plug and a patch cable with your laptop, as
shown in the following figure.

3.Unplug the G55 cable to switch off the G55 so that it is dead, as shown in the following figure:
4.Press any three keys on the G55 while re-connecting it to the cable.

The following dialog appears:
5.Please make sure that the IP address of your G55 is correct. If it is wrong, correct it. 6.Press the Enter key on the G55. The cursor jumps to “App Mode”. 7.Press the Enter key on the G55 again. The cursor jumps to “Run App”. 8.Press the F3 key twice. The display changes to “Download”. 9.Press the Enter key again. The cursor jumps back to “App Mode”. 10.Press the F3 key repeatedly until the cursor jumps to “Done”. 11.Press the Enter key. The cursor jumps to “Save and Exit”.

12.Press the Enter key again. The G55 will turn into the download mode, as shown in the following
figure.
13.Open the Command Prompt window on your laptop which can be found under Programs/Acces-sories/Command Prompt.14.Localise the G55.bff file on your laptop.
It can be found in the QMark directory under the following path: smarties/tcl/G55-Server15.Download the G55.bff file from your PC into the G55 by typing the following command,
i.e. the path of the directory where the G55.bff file can be found, tftp, [Alt] key + -, i, [target IP address],[PUT] [Source file] [Target file],as shown in the following figure.
16.Press the Return key.
The G55 is booted.

17.Disconnect the G55 Ethernet cable from the laptop.
18.Connect the G55 Ethernet cable with the ACC3 of the laser system.
