摘要：A computer sequentially selects, when receiving a job execution requestspecifying the requested number of nodes, an axis from the n axes of n-dimensionalspace (n is an integer of two or greater) forming a network where nodes are connected
by mesh or torus interconnect. The computer gradually extends the width of atemporary range of coordinates of the selected axis from a prescribed value, anddetermines, as a range for the selected axis, the temporary range where the number ofavailable nodes whose coordinates on each defined axis having a determined range fallwithin the range and whose coordinates on the selected axis fall within the temporaryrange is greater than or equal to the requested number of nodes. After determiningranges for all the axes, the computer determines which nodes to assign to the job fromavailable nodes whose coordinates on each axis fall within its range.
