摘要：Systems and methods for conducting e-commerce provide notification tocustomer about opportunities suited to the customer's specific request and aboutopportunities in which the customer's request can be aggregated with similar requests ofother customers. A features of notifying into the future is provided, in which a customer'srequest (20) that includes at least a description of a desired purchase is sent and isaccepted at a server (10), and then vendors (30) are identified, and then the customer isnotified about offerings that match the request (111). The notifications begin at the timethe request is originally made, and continue at additional times into the future (113). Thesteps of identifying vendors and notifying the customer are repeated into the future tocatch matches that might not be available the first time a check for matches is made. Therepetition can be for a certain period of time, or it can be terminated by a certain event orset of circumstances (114). For example, the notification may end if a time limit is reached,such as the close of an auction. As another example, the nofification may end if there is anindication by the customer that further notification is unnecessary, as when the customerhas completed the transaction that was intended.
