To work or to study further? Some believe that they need work for money and self-improvement, while others think that to study further for better work and more money. As far as I am concerned, I like to work instead of studying further, because work can help me learn how to communicate with others in order to build my network of social relations.
By means of good communication in the society during work, we can show our wit and abilities to impress others, thus more opportunities can be created. Good communication can build good cooperation. By talking and interacing with different people, we can exchange information, and know what strengths each can bring to the table. This will help us improve ourselves much faster.
To be in brief, I should work to invest life with meaning. In fact work isn’t just for wages but for a daily meaning and daily achievement in self-improvement in the real world.

Some people argue that the parents should plan their children’s future career, for the reason that they know their children well enough to decide what kind of job suits them. Many even tend to force their ideas of jobs on their children.
However/But many children think otherwise. They hold that they should be left free to choose their own careers. Firstly, parents and children may not share the same interests. Secondly, children grow up in an age different from their parents’. Therefore they should be allowed to choose for themselves.
In my opinion, mutual understanding is important. On one hand, parents’ view reflects their concern for children. On the other, it is the children who will be doing the job. Therefore, it is wise for parents to give them this freedom while children should consult their parents when necessary.

Olympic torch relay is an important part of the Olympic Games. It popularizes the Olympic spirit: participation, persistence and courage. It is a great honor for those who are chosen to be the Olympic torch bearers.
In my opinion, the bearers should have at least three qualifications for the job: firstly, they love sports because only those who are enthusiastic about sports will devote themselves to the task of Olympic torch relay. Secondly, they should be outstanding in their work. They enjoy good reputation for what they are doing. Thirdly, they should have a strong sense of responsibility.
As far as I am concerned, to be an Olympic torch bearer would give me overwhelming pride in myself. I love sports, of course and I am doing my best in work. Given the chance, I would feel much more encouraged to practice the motto of the Olympic Games: faster, higher and stronger.

Movie stars and sports stars are both public figures that we can often see on TV as well as in big events. Movies stars are good at moving the audience by their excellent performing skills while sports stars impress us by displaying an indomitable spirit on the sports ground. Given the chance to choose whom I like better, I prefer sports stars.
Sports stars have a strong and unbending will when confronting difficultles. Take Deng Yaping, the winner of the World Table Tennis Championship, for example, Despite her less advantage in height and occasional injuries, she never gave up her efforts and spared no effort to win every game. It was her hard work and persistence that had contributed to her achievements in all the games.
As to what benefit I can get from the sports stars, I think their success is what I dream to have and more importantly, and their secrets to success are what I have learn and try my best to practice when I am working towards my goal.

In the increasingly competitive job market, a college degree certificate may very well help you get a promising position. With the position, you will be well paid and enjoy respect and status. So it is essential for young people to obtain a degree when they start their journey to a successful life.
As far as I am concerned, obtaining the degree is a top priority in my life. Though it is not a piece of cake for me to get it, I believe I will make it with hard work. By hard work, I mean I will have the courage to overcome the difficulties in studies. I am a part-time college student. I do not have so much time as the full-time students for learning the courses. So I will make good management of my time. I will reduce the time for leisure, and try not to be distracted from my studies whenever I have the time for them.

Modern technology has enabled people to enjoy better life than before. Meanwhile, people have an increasing demand of energy to satisfy their daily needs, such as lighting and transportation, etc. But Natural resources are limited, and with the endless demand from human beings, the amount of the resources will decrease rapidly.
We need to cultivate energy-saving habits. To start with, we should turn off the computer monitor every time after we shut it down. The monitor, if left on, still consumes electricity even though the computer connected to it has been turned off. In addition, we should choose public transportation whenever it is appropriate. Travelling by subway and bus will save much more energy than driving a car.
In summary, we should raise the awareness of saving natural energy in everyday life. Only in this way we will enjoy our technological inventions for long.

Recently it has been reported that in some places the relationship between teachers and students is going worse. Some students don’t respect their teachers, and there is even quarreling and fighting between the two sides.
For both the teachers and students, school is the place where they spend most of their day. So it means a lot to both of them for them to maintain a good relationship. In my opinion, the ideal relationship between them is more like friends. The teachers love and understand the students, while the students respect and communicate their thoughts freely with the teachers.
This ideal situation can only be achieved by effective communication. It takes both parties to make efforts in order to reach the goals.

The job market is not very promising for college graduating students because of the worldwide economic recession. Many students will be out of job upon graduation.
Graduating students should adjust their expectation accordingly. For one thing, they should modify their job ideals. For instance, they should no longer target at a well-paid job. If they aim too high, they will feel all the more disappointed at the harsh reality. For another, they can do some work with little or no pay just to gain some experience. One can even try to get self-employed by running a business of his own.
In fact, a good attitude toward job-hunting will prepare one better for the bright
future when economy recovers.
