【篇一:读书心得】
读书心得
最近,我读了一本达尔文的作品——《航海日记》。 在达尔文写的文字中,我看出了他对当是艰难航海的乐观,而我丝毫没有看出他对环球航海的抱怨,尽管他当时仅仅22岁。
1809年2月12 日,达尔文出生在英国施鲁斯伯里的一个医生家庭中,1818年,达尔文进入了一所旧失学校学习,寄宿了7年。达尔文从小就喜欢大自然,喜欢采集矿物和制作动植物标本,观察各种鸟类以及去城外郊游。1825年10月,达尔文被父亲送进了苏格兰的爱丁堡大学学医,家人都希望他能继承祖业,但达尔文却认为在大学几乎所有的课程都是“极其枯燥“的。当达尔文进入爱丁堡两年后,他父亲认为儿子要在医学上取得成就已经没有希望,于是建议他去做一名牧师。1828年,达尔文进入剑桥大学,在那里,达尔文仍然把大部分时间用来学习自然科学,听自然科学讲座,收集动植物的标本。1831年,达尔文从剑桥大学毕业。
1831年12月,英国组织了“贝格尔号”军舰的环球考察,达尔文经人推荐,以“博物学者”的身份,自费搭船,开始了漫长而又艰苦的环球考察。每到一地,达尔文总要进行认真的考察研究,采访当系居民,有时请他们当向导。他不辞辛苦,爬山涉水,采集矿物和动植物标本,挖掘生物化石,发现许多原来没有记载的新物种。他白天收集资料,晚
上又要忙着记录观察日记。
达尔文随船横渡太平洋,经过澳大利亚。越过好望角,饶过印度洋,于1836年10月回到
英国,历时5年。回过后,他一面整理这些资料,一面查阅大量书籍,为他的生物进化理论寻找根据,开始对物种起源问题进行全面的研究。
1859年,科学巨著《物种起源》一书出版了。这是达尔文经过20年的深思熟虑和艰苦劳动,将这些思想整理成文。尽管当时许许多多的人反对达尔文,但他坚持奋斗了十几年。最终人们接受了生物进化论学说。
1882年4月19日,这位伟大的科学家因病逝世。人们将他和杰出的科学家牛顿葬在了同一地方。
读了这本书,我也要向这位伟大的科学家致敬。

一、指导思想:

船长收到了从上发来的电报,指示他放弃搜索。 背熟这句话。在这句话中,instructing 进一步说明 a radio message 的内容。
instruct sb. to do sth. 指示命令某人做某事(在第五课已经学过) the editor sent a fax to the
journalist instructing him to get statistics. 这位编辑给这位记者发了一份传真,指示他马上开始获取数据。
the captain knew what another attempt would be made later, for the sunken ship he was trying to
find had been carrying a precious cargo of gold bullion. make (another) attempt 再一次尝试 船长知道,今后还会另作一次尝试,因为他在设法寻找的那艘沉船装载了贵重的金砖。

在正式的书面语中,我们常用 there is tremendous excitement 这个结构。但是在口语中,我 们还是直接采用形容词 excited.

though the crew were at first under the impression that the lost ship had
been found, the contents
of the sea-chest proved them wrong.
虽然,开始时船员们以为沉船已经被找到,但是从海底捞起的箱子里的东西证明他们错了, under the impression = thinking that 认为
i’m under the impression that he is the manager of the store. he is under
the impression that you’ll help him.
what they had in fact found was a ship which had been sunk many years
before.
实际上,他们所找到的是艘多年前的沉船。 由 what 引导的主语从句。
注意课文中出现的两个形容词 sunk 和 sunken。
做定语只用 sunken. 而过去分词的普通用法, 既可以用 sunk 也可以用 sunken,一般来讲用 sunk.
the ship had sunk. a sunken ship
the chest contained the personal belongings of a seaman, alan fielding.
箱子里装着一个 alan fielding 海员的私人物品。 personal belongings 个人所属物品
there were books, clothing and photographs, tighter with letters,
which the seaman had once received from his wife.

虽然没有找到什么值钱的东西,但是被打捞上来的一些物件倒是颇为有趣的。 nothing of value = valuble
very much interesting = of great interest 极有意思的 of great importance = of great significance 非常重要的 of no consequence = of no importance 无足轻重的
