摘要：It is desirable to provide a system and method by which people can accessInternet-based information without directly using a computer, having a personal ISPconnection, or gaining experience or training on use of the Internet. In addition, it isdesirable to provide a system and method which allows people to obtain Internet-basedinformation using convenient and readily available means, such as , by way of voice over apublic telephone. Further, it is desirable to provide a system and method which allows forusing voice over a telephone to access, process, and carry out transactions over theInternet. Even further, such transactions should be possible with any user interfaceplatform. One aspect of an embodiment of the invention is a method for executing atransaction related to an item or a service using a telephone includes providing
information identifying the item or the service, providing a query as to a transaction to beperformed in which the transaction is related to the identified item or service, andsending to a server system a request to execute the transaction related to the identifieditem or service in response to a user answer. The transaction is executed without the userperforming a single action on a computer interface.
