摘要：The invention relates to a method and to a device for fighting fire usingextinguishing agents in a specific volume and/or area in buildings and facilities with a firerisk. The aim of the invention is to improve building facilities such that the thermal load incase of fire cannot flash over to other areas, and emergency exits, thoroughfares,openings in walls, and shut-down commercial equipment such as control panels, forktrucks, etc. are largely kept free of the action of the extinguishing agent, furtherminimizing the consumption of extinguishing agent and reducing damage in the event offire, while simultaneously increasing cost-effectiveness, wherein structural compensationis also achieved between the building and the extinguishing system. Said aim is achieved inthat at least one wall of extinguishing agent, made of spray mist, is generated forpreventing flashover of a thermal load into other areas around the fire source and/or inthe area with a fire risk along at least one vertical and/or horizontal spray plane mountedbetween the supports of the fire source and/or area with a fire risk and monitored by thedetection means, and/or at least one further wall of extinguishing agent, made of spray
mist, is generated for protecting and cooling emergency exits, thoroughfares or paths,openings in fire protection walls, and commercial equipment within the building along thespray plane mounted between vertical supports associated with the same and carryingextinguishing agent.
