1.0 Product Features

Pd0035VC0L-0701 is a 3.5\" TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) dedicated for Video. The

TFT-LCD will be applied to a high transmittance mode TFT-LCD product.

2.3. Test PAD

Test pads are used to test the cell’s display function before driver IC is bonded. The test function will be cancelled automatically when driver IC and FPC are bonded. Testing pre-requirements and performances:

• Proper installation of polarizer.

• Corresponding driving voltages and waveform are required.

• Test mode can lights the whole panel to Black, White, different Gray levels and R,G,B • Light pixel or Dead pixel can be investigated under test mode.

Test Method: GG=20V,Gate_odd=15V,Gate_Even=15V,VCOM=0V,Data=0V+/-4V(different gary level). Note: The dimension of test pads needn’t inspect

5.0 ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

Note: (1) Vcom must be adjusted to optimize display quality: cross talk, contrast ratio and etc. (2) VGH is TFT gate operating voltage (3) VGL is TFT gate operating voltage

The storage capacitance structure of this product is Cst(Storage on Common).

The low voltage level of VGL signal must be fluctuated with same phase as Vcom, in case of Storage on

Gate structure.

The contrast ratio can be calculated by the following expression. Contrast Ratio (CR) = L63 / L0 L63: Luminance of gray level 63 L0: Luminance of gray level 0 CR = CR (10)

CR (X) is corresponding to the Contrast Ratio of the point X at Figure in Note (5).

*** The above “Viewing Angle” is the measuring position with Largest Contrast Ratio; not for good image quality. View Direction for good image quality is 12 O’clock. Module maker can increase the “Viewing Angle” by applying Wide View Film.

*Note (4) Measurement Set-Up:

The LCD module should be stabilized at a given temperature for 20 minutes to avoid abrupt temperature change during measuring. In order to stabilize the luminance, the measurement should be executed after lighting Backlight for 20 minutes in a windless room.

Appendix B: Handling Precautions

Handling

1. Refrain from strong mechanical shock and / or any force to the panel. In addition to damage, this may improper operation or damage to the panel.

2. Wipe off water droplets or oil immediately. If you leave the droplets for a long time, staining and

discoloration may occur.

3. If the liquid crystal material leaks from the panel, it should be kept away from the eyes or month. In case of contact with hands, legs or clothes, it must be washed away thoroughly with soap. 4. Protect the panel from static; it may cause damage to the CMOS devices.

5. Use finger-stalls with soft gloves in order to keep display clean during the incoming inspection and

assembly process.

6. Pins of I/F connector shall not be touched directly with bare hands.

Storage

1. Do not leave the panel in high temperature, and high humidity for a long time. It is highly

recommended to store the panel with temperature from 0 to 35C and relative humidity of less than 70%. 2. The panel shall be stored in a dark place. It is prohibited to apply sunlight or fluorescent light during

the store.

Operation

1. The LCD shall be operated within the limits specified. Operation at values outside of these limits may

shorten life, and/or harm display images.

2. Do no exceed the absolute maximum rating value.

3. If the panel displays the same pattern continuously for a long period of time, it can be a image marked

on the screen.
