The role of the Internet for college students
I am pretty sure most people will hold the belief that Internet has become more and more indispensable in today's life, including college students. If a computer can not connect to the Internet, to some extent, it is useless.
To me, or to students in dufe, Internet is the most basic tool to check school's notifications, find out our curriculum, sign up for the CET-4 and the CET-6, get to know our scores in exams and do many other things. If there is sth wrong with the Internet one day, i wonder what a mess our life will be.
Certainly, there are more to say about the advantages that Internet has brought us. For example, thanks to the Internet, we have a chance to broaden our horizon. We can have access to resource from all over the world, in other words, we can know what does paris look like, or how thrilling Alps is, even what kind of life people in Africa are living, and without actually being there. Money and time are limited for college students, but Internet has provided us a perfect way to know and understand the universe and the society.
There is one thing i would like to emphasize, which you may have been aware of, that is the opening classes, provided by many renowned universities either in china or in foreign countries. Not to mention the search engine can lead students to whatever they want to know, opening
classes is an even greater innovation. College students are free to study any lessons, if provided, but not be limited by which university they attend. Everyone can obtain knowledge so long as he wants to.
Last but not least, college students can communicate with their families and friends with the help of the Internet. In order to get better education, many students choose to enter a university far away from home and can only go home twice a year. In this case, they can chat with their parents via camera, thanks to the Internet.
To conclude, Internet plays an important role in our life and make our life easier and more colourful.
