Chinese calligraphers usually render their Chinese characters in ways that exaggerate the form to yield artistic beauty. Chinese calligraphy is a subject of artistic study. As your interest in Chinese character system increases in the days to come, I will discuss in due time the different schools of Chinese calligraphy, and how to appreciate the artistic beauty of Chinese calligraphy. 2. I’m with the view that in this modern world, the culture of any nation cannot develop in isolation. And I believe that different cultures should learn from each other’s strengths to offset their own weaknesses. Cultural exchange, I think, is by no means a process of losing one’s own culture to a foreign culture, but a process of enriching each other’s national cultures.

Canada is a country with well-developed industries and abundant resources, while China has a plentiful supply of labor force and a potential huge market. We hope to see Canadian enterprises make full use of their technical and financial advantages and compete well in the Chinese market.

2. China and the US are each other’s second largest trading partner. We share wide-ranging common interests and great promises for cooperation. At this critical juncture when the world economy is bouncing back from crisis to recovery, China and the US have taken proactive measures, which play a positive role in helping the two countries and the world economy out of the current economic downturn. A more open, dynamic Chinese economy will bring about tremendous development opportunities for the entire world including the US. China-US trade and commercial relations will surely prosper at a new starting point.
