摘要：The present invention describes methods for inhibiting angiogenesis in tissuesusing vitronectin αβantagonists. The αβ-mediated angiogenesis is correlated withexposure to cytokines including vascular endothelial growth factor, transforming growthfactor-α and epidermal growth factor. Inhibition of αβ-mediated angiogenesis isparticularly preferred in vascular endothelial ocular neovascular diseases, in tumorgrowth and in inflammatory conditions, using therapeutic compositions containingαβantagonists.
