Teaching aims:

How to use The Past Continuous Tense? Step Ⅰ（5minutes） 1. Review other tenses

Method :Let some students tell others what they are,then let one student write them on the blackbord.(check them together) 2. Review the relations between time and tense(write on the blackboard)

3. Review the relations between verb and tense(write on the blackboard)

4. Give some sentences,let students tell others what tense they

are,from which we can lead in The Past Continuous Tense 5. Give students the title ——The Past Continuous Tense

(1.)I was washing clothes at this time last night She was washing clothes at this time yesterday. He was washing clothes at this time last Sunday. 昨晚/昨天/上周日这个时候我/她/他正在 洗衣服。 (2.)They were singing at 8 o’clock yesterday morning. We were singing at 7 o’clock last Friday. You were singing at 9 o’clock last night.

昨天早上8点/上周五7点/昨天晚上9点/他们/我们/你们在唱歌。 (3).She was studying English from 8 to 9 last night

(2).He was walking on the street when his friend called him. 当他的朋友给他打电话时他正在街上散步 Method:先自探，再合探，最后老师补充得出结论： 过去进行时和 When 连用
