摘要：The seal for rotating or reciprocating shaft applications consists of anelastomeric sealing part and a rigid cylindrical part by which the unit is retained in ahousing or on the shaft. The conical surface of the first part meets a concave surface ofthe second part to form a continuous surface. The elastomeric ring (1) has a sealing face(2) and an outer conical face (3) on which an elastic ring (4) bears. A support cylinder (5)continues the surface (3) with a concave surface (7). Extending legs (8) or cylinder (8')complete the support. The two parts (1, 5) may be inverted so that the support cylindermay fit within a surrounding housing.
