The terminal is a movie that mainly depicts what happens on a man of no nationality in the Kennedy Airport. Navorski is the main actor in the movie who obtains everything he wants during the waiting. This movie fully expresses the theme that life always needs waiting, during which time all kinds of opportunities should be made full use of to make life meaningful.

Navorski went to New York to accomplish his father’s wish but he was unaccepted in Kennedy airport because of the collapse of his government. Therefor, he had no choice but to stay in the airport to wait until his country had a government. During that period of time, he obtained English in order to read his country’s news; he tried to find jobs so as to persue a girl; he helped a young man get married to a girl; he challenged the authorities to help a Russian and won the respect of all the workers in the airport. Eventually his country recovered its government, so he managed to go to New York and got the autograph.

As we all see, he did not just wait with a low spirit, he did everything he could to enjoy life. Though, for him, the situation was very tough, he ran every corner in the airport to find someone to talk when he found news of his country on TV, but nobody could understand and help him. he always kept an optimistic attitude. Just like some situations in our daily life, when we can do nothing but wait, what are the attitudes of us? Most of us may feel impatient and down, make complaints about the external environment and do nothing except waiting. We should learn from the Navorski of his calm, tolerance, optimism and patience. It is impossible for us to keep calm in the commence of an accident, but we should try our best to clam down as soon as possible.

Life is a process with all kinds of waitings, waiting for opportunity, success and some others. What we do in these waitings is very important to our later life. All of what we need to do is to keep calm and enjoy the life around us. We can finally get what we want.

The Report of the Trueman Show

This film is full of imagination and creativity. I was totally shaken by the surprising ending. Trueman is the main actor in the movie. He always wanted to leave the island where he lived, but he could not get rid of the fear with water, which was the cause to his father’s death. Until one day, he found everything around him was strange as if his life was controlled by others. So he tried his best to get away from the island. In the end, he risked losing his life to sail away from the island, fortunately, he succeeded. To everyone’s surprise, all the stuff on the island are false, they are controlled by high-tech, all the people are actors. The director built this island to do an experiment. But luckily, he got away form the island and got rid of controls of others.

What impresses me most is the endless imagination in the film. I was confused at the commence of the film, everything seems so curious that i was strongly attracted by it. What he did was broadcast live to the whole world through TV and radio. Until at the middle of the film did I realized that there were so many cameras in the island and everything was controlled by others. His wife was an actress who always advertised for many products, during which she used the message adapted from the allusion-Mary had a little lamb. All the people on the island knew him, they just create an irreal society to coordinate with his life. There were so many people around the world paying much attention to him and they started to attention him from he was a child. The most shocked scene was director’s hampering while he was escaping from the island on the sea. The water was tumbled and the wind was blowed, which were designed to force him to return . However, he would rather die than go back. Finally, he overcame all the difficulties and got away, all the audience were cheering to commemorate his success.

In the end, he finally found the wall which color was blue as sea and sky at the end of the sea. He had already been confined for over thirty years. I am deeply touched by his spirit pursing freedom. Return to reality, we are being confined by all kinds of things even if there is no person operate. We should learn from the Trueman and try our best to break them and live the life what we like.
