摘要：Systems, methods, and devices related to estimating backhaul quality, detectingInternet connectivity, and managing server load are described herein. In some aspects, awireless device is configured to determine a characteristic of a communication link. Thedevice includes a transmitter configured to transmit a request for a communication froma server. The device further includes a receiver configured to receive the communicationfrom the server, over the communication link, in response to the request. The devicefurther includes a processor configured to compute a target amount of at least one oftraffic or time to receive the communication. The processor is further configured toterminate the communication based on the computed time or amount of traffic received.The processor is further configured to determine a characteristic of the communicationlink based on the communication from the server.
