Unit4 Why don’t you talk to your parents? Period 1 Section A 1a---2c 教学设计

一、Teaching Aims:

1. The language Aims:

1) master the following words:allow, wrong. master the following sentence patterns: ○1—What’s wrong?

—I’m really tried because I studied until midnight last night.

②I have too much homework so I don’t have any free time to do things I like. ③ My parents don’t allow me to hang out with my friends. ④ Why don’t you talk to him about it… 2.Ability Aims

(1)to use knowledge to talk about problems and difficulties, put forward the proposal and make a choice;;

(2)according to the other side of the proposed problem, give some reasonable suggestions.

3. Emotional Aims :

Develop the student good cooperation consciousness, encouraging students to express their ideas and wishes.and have the correct understanding of some difficulties in life, Let them use the right way to solve the problems in life.。

二、Teaching important and difficult points

1. Important points

1) Talk about the problems.

2) Learn the new language points. 2. Difficult points:

According to questions, give some reasonable suggestions and learn to express suggestions in different ways.

三、Teaching Methods:

Presentation, integrate listening, reading, and dialogue into the classroom, and combinate the group cooperation learning method and task-based teaching method.

四、teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Warming up Brain storming

T:Do you have any problems in your daily life S:Yes,I have to do so much home….

T:How do you solve them? Give some advice. S:You should ….

Step2 Leading in

Show some pictures about the life of the students T:What’s the matter/ What’s wrong? S1:He have to study too much

S2:He has too much homework to do. S3:….

Then let the students read the phrases and new words Step 3Talking

1. Look at these problems. Do you think they are serious or not? Ss discuss with their partners and give some advice.

① I have to study too much so I don’t get enough sleep.

② I have too much homework so I don’t have any free time to do things I like. ③ My parents don’t allow me to hang out with my friends. ④ I have too many after-school classes. ⑤ I got into a fight with my best friend. Step 4 Listening

1. T: Tell Ss to read the sentences in 1a again. Make sure they know the meaning of the sentences.

2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a. 3. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss. Step 5 Pair work

1. Let Ss read the conversation in the box.

2. Use the information in 1a to make other conversations. 3. Let some pairs act out their conversations. e.g. A: What’s wrong?

B: I’m really tied because I studied until midnight last night. A: Why don’t you go to sleep earlier this evening? Step 6 Work on 2a:

T: Peter has some problems. What advice does his friend give him? Fill in the blanks with could or should.

1. Let Ss read the sentences in 2a.

2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the words in the blank. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. Step 7 Work on 2b:

1. Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know the meaning of each sentence.

2. Play the recording for the Ss to write the letters (a-e) next to the advice in 2a. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. Answers: 1. d 2. e 3. a 4. c 5. B Step 8 Pair work (2c)

1. Tell Ss to make a conversation using the information in 2a and 2b. 2. Let one pair to read out their conversation first. 3. e.g. A: What’s the matter, Peter?

B: I had a fight with my best friend. What should I do?

A: Well, you should call him so that you can say you’re sorry. B: But I don’t want to talk about it on the phone.

4. Ss act the conversation in pairs. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. Step 9 Exercise Step 10 Homework

——学情分析

本单元话题是人际交往,这个话题与学生实际生活紧密相关,主要探讨当代中小学生所面临的种种压力和困境,并针对针对这些问题给予合理地建议。重点学习用What’s wrong?询问他人的麻烦;学习用What should I do?征求别人的建议;学习使用情态动词could,should以及Why don’t you...?句型提出解决的办法和建议;学习使用连词until,so that,although。在Unit1已经学习力用What’s the matter with...?询问病情,其中也涉及了What’s wrong的学习,对于学生来说,已是比较熟悉的句型;而在前几个单元中,

逐步学习了情态动词should,could表示建议,相信学生掌握起来也很容易;学习连词until,so that,although的用法,是本单元的重点也是难点,教师要多举例子,让学生真正明白状语从句的使用。

通过评测练习反馈,90%以上的学生都学会询问、陈述自己或他人的困难和麻烦;并针对别人的困境,运用已掌握使用情态动词could,should以及Why don’t you...?句型提出解决的办法和建议。并且通过该部分学习,学生学会了换位思考,逐步建立了正确、积极的生活态度和价值观。

——教材分析

本课的中心话题是谈论同学们生活及学习中的问题和困难并提出合适的建议,从而展开教学活动。学习本课的内容为整个单元打下基础,同时也是英语教学中拓展学生思维的重要环节。 本单元的话题(Topic)是“Interpersonal communication(人际交往)”。功能项目(Functions)是“Talk about problems (谈论困难);Give advice (提出建议)。本单元主要探讨当代中小学生所面临的种种压力和困境。学会询问、陈述自己或他人的困难和麻烦;并针对别人的困境,使用情态动词could,should以及Why don’t you...?句型提出解决的办法和建议;阅读文章Maybe You Should Learn to Relax,通过学习比较了东西方家长对子女教育的态度和做法,通过该部分学习,让学生学会换位思考,帮助他们逐步建立正确、积极的生活态度和价值观。

——课后反思

从传统英语课的角度来看,在学生充分预习的基础上基本上达到了本节课的学习目标,也突出了本节课的重点,学习了用What’s wrong?询问他人的麻烦;学习用What should I do?征求别人的建议;学习使用情态动词could,should以及Why don’t you...?句型提出解决的办法和建议,教师也起到了引导的作用。

有待改进的方面颇多。

首先课时各个环节完成较仓促,致使学生自主探究时间较少。 第二,未能较到位的突破难点,各环节时间把握欠合理。

第三,课堂驾驭能力有待提高,有些环节过渡生硬,课堂评语单调,不灵活。

2.能力目标:

学会询问、陈述自己或他人的困难和麻烦;并针对别人的困境,使用情态动词could,should以及Why don’t you...?句型提出解决的办法和建议。

3.情感目标:

遇到问题要主动地去和家人、朋友或亲近的人交流;如果身边的人遇到问题,能主动提供帮助;要学会放松、缓解压力。
